Route

Access to the trail up the mountain is a few meters from the Mirante do Soberbo, a tourist spot with the best view of the Dedo de Deus – the region's main postcard image. It is about thirty minutes of moderate hiking, more than half of it on steep sections. But the view is so beautiful that it makes up for the effort. The tip is to have your water bottle ready, stop along the way to rest, and take in the view. From the Mirante do Soberbo, walk for 3 minutes along BR 116 on the grass and you will see the Parque Estadual dos Três Picos sign, where the trail starts. It is a steep trail that takes on average 25 to 40 minutes to reach the main lookout, depending on the person; the terrain is very uneven, and the trail is well marked. After the steep climb, you will reach the first lookout. Keep going until you reach the two rope sections, a scrambling stretch. A little farther on, you will reach the main lookout, with an amazing view of the Serra dos Órgãos and the mountains in the background: Pedra do Sino, São João, Cabeça de Peixe, Santo Antônio, Dedo de Deus, Dedo de Nossa Senhora, and Escalavrado.
