Description
The Ererê Trail is located in one of the most beautiful parks in the Amazon, the Monte Alegre State Park. The trail connects the park's physical base to the Ererê community, which, according to archaeological studies from the Emílio Goeldi Paraense Museum, is situated in the heart of the region with the oldest occupation in Brazilian Amazon. The trail features archaeological sites over 12,000 years old and boasts incredible scenic beauty, with viewpoints where it is possible to see the Amazon River in an area of pure Amazonian cerrado. Simply amazing. It is important to highlight that the Monte Alegre State Park in Pará was chosen as one of the 25 world heritage sites to be supported by the 2022 World Monuments Watch. The trail should be undertaken with local guides who know the nature and stories of the area like no one else, which are numerous.
