Description

The trail is part of the Serra de Macacu Route, located in the Castália neighborhood. The route is a long stretch through the most beautiful part of our mountain range, in the heart of the Atlantic Forest. It has small streams along the way. It ends at the summit of Pedra da Mariquita, which offers a breathtaking view of the Rio de Janeiro mountains.

Low sun exposure; Difficult orientation, requiring a guide or someone familiar with the route; Moderate risk exposure (beware of venomous animals); The tributaries are small pools that are easy to cross, with water at ankle height; It begins at the end of the cobblestone path of Avenida Castália, in the neighborhood of the same name, and ends at the summit of Pedra da Mariquita with a view of the Serra de Macacu. The trail is long and very difficult. With long climbs and streams along the way, the path is entirely a dirt road with many stones. The trail forks with the Castália x Guapiaçu Trail.
