Route

From Abraão to Praia de Palmas, the route is approximately 3 km. The trail starts at the right corner of Praia do Abraão and is the most physically demanding part of this section, as it involves a steep ascent up Morro da Igreja. At the top, there is a viewpoint with an incredible view of the cove. The descent leads directly to Praia de Palmas, where you can stop for lunch and enjoy the tranquility of the area. From Palmas to Praia do Pouso, it is about 1.2 km of a calm stretch that hugs the coastline. You will pass by Praia de Mangues before reaching Praia do Pouso. It is at Praia do Pouso that the schooners and larger boats drop off tourists who do not want to complete the entire trail. From Pouso to Praia de Lopes Mendes, the walk is about 1 km, is easy, and crosses the hill that separates the side of the island facing the continent from the side facing the ocean. In the end, you arrive at the stunning Praia de Lopes Mendes, repeatedly voted one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
