The section starts at the Praça das Araras, in Araruna; the route passes the ruins of the old Fazenda Maquiné - with the Casa Grande (manor house), the senzala (slave quarters), and the chapel, and continues through the Cânion do Macapá, where the Rio Salgadinho forms a beautiful waterfall in the rainy season.
