Description

The eighth section of the Rio Claro Water Loop connects the district of Passa Três to Fazenda da Grama via local roads that, starting from Praça Salim Alexandre Elias, initially run alongside the Piraí River. The path concludes by passing the reservoir at Fazenda da Grama, near the ruins of the old mansion.

Route

The route begins at Praça Salim Alexandre Elias, turning right onto Rua Fúlvio Cerqueira and shortly after, left onto Praça Passa Três, following approximately 270 meters along Rua Valdemiro Gonçalves (RJ-145) on a paved road with sidewalks. From there, the path turns right onto Rua Augusto Ribeiro Gonçalves, also paved and shared with vehicles. The route continues along this street until it crosses a bridge over the Piraí River. After the bridge, it turns left onto a narrower road that passes through several gates of private properties and initially follows the riverbank, offering occasional scenic views along the way. Further ahead, the trail moves away from the Piraí River and begins to climb toward Fazenda da Grama. The route merges onto Estrada da Vendinha, which it follows to the end. Then it turns right and immediately left onto Rua do Açude, skirting the reservoir, before turning left again onto Estrada Arrozal, and at the first left, returning to Rua do Açude. Finally, it turns right onto Rua Torino Moreno, ending at the post office station.
