Departing from Guaraná Quente, the trail follows a dirt road exposed to the weather until reaching the entrance to the crossing, on the left, where the path transitions into a trail leading toward Sertão do Rola. Shortly after entering this trail, the route traverses a waterlogged area where a low-volume stream crosses the path at several points, forming muddy and swampy sections. Most of the trail unfolds in open areas, with direct exposure to the elements. It leads to the Mirante das Nuvens (Clouds Lookout), a highlight of this section that offers a breathtaking view of the region. From there, the trail continues on an uneven and muddy path until reaching a three-way junction. At this point, take the left turn toward Sertão do Rola/Lídice; the other paths — straight ahead and to the right — lead to the municipality of Bananal, in the state of São Paulo. The descent continues along a narrow, irregular trail with several muddy stretches. In some places, the vegetation provides shade, along with natural viewpoints offering stunning views of the mountains and valleys. At the bottom of the descent, the trail crosses a pasture where the path becomes less visible. This fully open area requires orientation based on the intended direction, walking across the pasture while enjoying sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. The sound of running water becomes audible, indicating nearby rivers or waterfalls. Skirting the pasture to the right, the trail continues descending — at this point, the PCH Braço Hydroelectric Plant comes into view. The route passes through a service road that cuts across a seemingly uninhabited private property where there’s a corral, a church, and a house. At the end of the trail, you’ll reach the property exit, next to a stream with clean water — perfect for a refreshing swim. After passing through the gate, turn right to climb up to the hydroelectric plant or turn left to descend toward Lídice.
