Description

The first section of the Cabista Route runs along the Araruama Lagoon, traversing ecosystems of mangroves, restinga, and wetlands, notable for its significant avifauna presence. The route requires good physical preparation due to its high exposure to the sun, but it also features some natural shade, which serves as true refuges for rest and contemplation of the landscape, marked by the crystal-clear waters of the lagoon. Ponta das Coroinhas is the main attraction of the section, where one can also observe the white-headed cactus and endemic orchids of the region.
