Route

North-South direction (going to the waterfall): follow the black footprints on a yellow background. South-North direction (returning from the waterfall): follow the yellow footprints on a black background. Starting from Alto Paraíso de Goiás, the first part of the trail, 2.9 km long, begins between the parking lot and the Parque Nacional da Chapada dos Veadeiros. A steep climb to a lookout, a good place to rest. Follow the more beaten trail to the Park entrance. At the PNCV boundary, the second part of the trail begins, 4.9 km long. The trail heads toward the Mirante de Alto Paraíso, with a beautiful view of the town, the Morro da Baleia and the Morro do Buracão, and the Pico do Pouso Alto. The trail continues into the valley of the Córrego do Uimiri. This section has rocks and obstacles on the trail bed, which reaches the Mirante do Vale do Paranã, where you can already see the Córrego do Ferreirinha, the Rio Macaco, and the Serra Geral de Goiás in the background. On the other bank of the Córrego do Ferreirinha, there is a clearing with quartz rocks and the fork between the trails that go to the campsite and the one that goes down the Córrego to the waterfalls. From the fork, the third part of the trail begins, 600 m long, toward the waterfalls. The first waterfall is the Banho Inca - watch out on the descent to the water, which can be slippery. The trail continues with a gentle downclimb, running along the stream bed, and climbs to the final destination, the Cachoeira do Sertão Zen.
