Quarry Rock
Description
Quarry Rock is one of the most popular trails in the village of Deep Cove, thanks to the viewpoint located on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Indian Arm, a stretch of sea that penetrates the mainland north of Vancouver. Despite its low elevation, the viewpoint offers a beautiful landscape, enhanced by the steep cliff and the absence of trees that could obstruct the view to the south. The entire route traverses the typical wet temperate rainforest of the Pacific Northwest, with various sections on wooden walkways, stairs, and small bridges that cross streams along the way. The trail is considered quite accessible, making it an excellent option for beginners and those looking to have their first experience with hiking in the area. Photos by Vicente Leal E. Fernandez.
