Description

The Morro da Peça trail is a short 570 m route that leads to the top of one of the most accessible viewpoints in the Oceanic Region of Niterói. From the summit, the view is wide and privileged, encompassing the Itaipu Lagoon, the Camboinhas and Itaipu beaches, as well as the coastal formations of the Serra da Tiririca State Park, such as Morro das Andorinhas and the Costão de Itacoatiara. The environment combines stretches of open vegetation and rocky outcrops, providing a scenic view throughout the entire ascent.

Route

The route begins on a well-marked trail, with a constant ascent on dirt terrain and sections with low vegetation. Along the way, there are few technical obstacles, but the incline may require some effort, especially under strong sunlight. In the final part, sections with more exposed rock appear, where the ascent continues until reaching the top. The path is straightforward and without many forks, with a gradual gain in altitude until reaching the viewpoint.
