Description

The Lighthouse Park circuit is a very accessible and pleasant trail in West Vancouver, combining a walk through coastal forest, rocky outcrops, and viewpoints overlooking Burrard Inlet. The main attraction is the historic Point Atkinson Lighthouse, inaugurated in 1875, one of the oldest lighthouses on the Canadian West Coast. In addition to the lighthouse, the circuit passes by several natural viewpoints, such as Juniper Point, Shore Pine Point, Lighthouse Lookout, Arbutus Knoll, and Eagle Point. These viewpoints offer beautiful views of the strait, the North Shore mountains, and the vessels entering and leaving the port of Vancouver. Photos by Vicente Leal E. Fernandez.
