Garibaldi Lake Trail
Description
This is one of the most traditional trails in Garibaldi Provincial Park, leading to the lake that bears the park's name. Glacial in origin, the lake is known for its turquoise-blue waters and the landscape formed by mountains, glaciers, and coniferous forests. Along the route, visitors traverse different natural environments, including forested areas, alpine meadows, and viewpoints with panoramic views. The region has a structured camping area for overnight stays, with restrooms and a shelter for meals. Each campsite must be reserved in advance. It is possible to do the trail as a round trip, but it is worth taking advantage of the excellent camping facilities to spend a night. From the campsite, there is the possibility to explore other fantastic trails, such as Panorama Ridge and Black Tusk. Photos by Vicente Leal E. Fernandez.
