Pico do Calçado is unofficially the fourth-highest mountain in Brazil, at 2,849 meters above sea level. It is also the second-highest mountain in both Espírito Santo and Minas Gerais, on whose border it stands. It is located in Parque Nacional do Caparaó, on the border between the municipalities of Ibitirama (Espírito Santo) and Alto Caparaó (Minas Gerais), in the highest block of the Serra do Caparaó, less than 1 km in a straight line from Pico da Bandeira.
It is reached by the trail that starts at Casa Queimada, on the Espírito Santo side, follows the ridge dividing the states of Espírito Santo and Minas Gerais, and reaches its broad summit by a "scramble" up the rock. From there, the trail continues toward Pico da Bandeira. Pico do Calçado is within the following protected area
